PlaceMatters @ The House of St Barnabas, Soho
I was selected by Katie Keller, curator PATCH London, to create a site-specific sculpture for their prestigious show 'The Collective'. My proposal was to create a sculpture in the garden using the wooden pagoda as a plinth. The work was created out of laser-cut fluorescent perspex. The sculpture as called 'PlaceMatters' and responded to the House of St Barnabas mission statement 'Aim high and go on an amazing journey'.

For me flowers signify moments, special dates, treasured parts of your garden, times of the year, and even important people - all these things trigger memories. To suggest this I paint flowers fading in and out of detail just as our thoughts, creating elements on each canvas to discover and savour, using colour to allow the eyes to gently search the canvas at their own pace.
